The Lake District, one of the most beautiful places in the UK and our home. For over 10 years, our shop in the heart of fells has been helping our customers to explore and discover the national park.
Crafted with local materials and by expert builders, our store features four floors with everything you need, whether exploring the local villages or tackling some of the highest Peaks in England, just a stone's throw away from us here in Ambleside.
Our expert team can help when looking for kit for fell walking, trail running, winter mountaineering and everything in-between.

Starting in the basement, we have a great selection of footwear and backpacks which you can book a 1-2-1 fitting appointment with our expert team to ensure you get the perfect fit, we also have a range of camping and outdoor living accessories from the likes of Snow Peak and Sea to Summit.
The ground floor includes some of our favourite brands such as Patagonia, Mountain Equipment, adidas Terrex and Mammut. At the back of the store, you'll find our designated Ruffwear section with maybe a dog treat or two for your four-legged friend. You can also treat yourself to a locally roasted coffee from our Rocket espresso machine situated at the till.
The first floor features outdoor stalwarts The North Face's pinnacle Summit Series clothing line, Nordic titans Norrona and new kids on the block, merino specialists Artilect.
Our second floor has recently been refurbished and is now a dedicated Arc'teryx floor with the latest gear, whilst up there why not have a lookout on our balcony where you can see Loughrigg Fell and the full panoramic view of the Fairfield Horseshoe.
