What is Responsible Shopping?

Here at The Epicentre, we are committed to reducing our impact, whether this is through the items we sell or the way we go about our days in the shop. We want to help our customers to make more informed decisions when it comes to buying their clothing, that’s why we have created a new way to shop responsibly online. You can now find everything in one place, making it easier to purchase clothing that is considerate to both the environment and local communities in less developed areas.

By prioritising inclusivity and sustainability these brands are a community of leaders, driving a global movement of people using business as a force for good. We stock four brands that have been awarded this certification: Patagonia, Cotopaxi, tentree and Rumpl.

Made using recycled materials, our recycled collection comes from brands such as Patagonia, Sherpa, tentree and Mountain Equipment. Using recycled polyester and recycled plastic bottles, this collection helps to reduce the amount of plastic ending up in landfill.

This collection of clothing gives back to developing communities where basic amenities and education aren't always available. Whether that’s donating a percentage of sales to specific schemes or investing in community and environmental projects.

It’s not just about what clothes are made from; it’s how they’re made. This collection features items that have been made in Bluesign® approved factories, are Fairtrade™ sewn or use down/wool that can be traced back to the parent farm to ensure no animals were treated poorly. Feel good in what you wear, knowing you are helping to improve working conditions in factories all over the world.
