Getting back home to my routes. These mountains are where it all started for me, so coming back after 4 years skiing / living in Austria and Sweden feels great to be home on familiar soil and hearing some proper northern accents.

Ex-Army, Ex-Trampolinist and Ex-tremely experienced. From expedition leading to experiential education, our Andy has been bouncing up and down the outdoor scene for over 10 years, gaining much respect and ‘backing’ within the adventure industry.

Chris - Sales
Experienced across many disciplines, Chris has walked, ran, climbed and travelled through many mountain areas including the French and Swiss Alps, California, Utah, Arizona and New Zealand. A desire to make every trip more remote than the last one, he's constantly seeking out new goals and locations to challenge mind, body and soul and put gear to the test! In his spare time Chris will either be found guiding in the fells, taking photographs at unearthly hours or seeking solitude in Scotland.

Been running, riding and climbing for over 30years
From years of training and working as a graphic designer to mountain bike, climbing and canyoning guiding and corporate training in the blue mountains in Australia to owning and running a bike shop I finally made my dream real and moved to the Lake District where I have come to heal myself.
This place is special as is The Epicentre and the people in it

Born in the North, raised in the south, travelled the world and settled in The Lake District in 2004 when he realised it was the best place in the world to work, rest and play! Main interests include road cycling, cycle commuting, wild camping, world travel and coffee. Now his children are old enough to carry their own kit he is often to be found out exploring the local fells, wild swimming spots and artisan cafes.

Forming part of our head office team, Kathryn works on all things website for the store. Originally from Somerset, Kathryn can usually be found swimming, cycling or running. Her plan is to explore more of the Lake District and tick off some of the Wainwrights.

Emma - Marketing
Working on all things marketing, Emma is based in our head office team. She has a bit of an obsession with gear and a love of hill walking, having walked many of the UK’s national trails as well as the Continental Divide Trail in the US.

When I was younger, we always visited the lakes on family holidays; I’ve always enjoyed spending time in the outdoors I particularly enjoy walking, cycling and climbing. I officially moved to the lake district to study at the local university and have enjoyed living here so much I haven't left; you’ll often find me on the fells either walking or camping on my days off.

After adventures in Australia, New Zealand, Nepal & Europe I thought it was about time I explored in more detail my own backyard. Having visited the Lakes many times during the 80’s I’m looking forward to getting back in touch with the mountains, lakes and an abundance of hiking trails, sure to keep me occupied for years to come. I like to dabble in all sports and will give anything a go.
Favourite Spot: Anything that gets me up to high ground for the views, the heart & the head.

I enjoy travelling and exploring, and have been to some amazing places. I'm always keen to be out - on rock, on water, in the mountains. I love NW Scotland, SW Cornwall, and living in the Lakes.

Liz - Sales
Having travelled and worked abroad for many years teaching outdoor education in places such as the Middle East, Australia and Europe, Liz has now made the Lake District her home. She loves that she can do a day at work and then easily hike or bike up the hills or dip in the lake for an adventure. When she is not training to become a psychotherapist, this is where you will find her; climbing in Langdale or on trips to Scotland, whitewater canoeing, finding a quiet spot for some yoga or tucking into a wedge of cake.
