The Total Traction sole unit provides outstanding grip on any type of mountain terrain, very stable thanks to the low profile and lateral stiffness, and is extremely dexterous for climbing. Comfort is enhanced by PU inserts in the heel and metatarsal area which add 30% extra cushioning (compared to traditional mountain boot soles) for long hard approach/trekking in cold icy conditions.  A little bit of flex ensures greater comfort without reducing the ability to take a fully rigid crampon, while Scarpa’s new Ergo Fit system provides amazing heel and foot holding, and control on any angle terrain while climbing or walking.
